* Last night at WrestleMania 32, “The Beast” Brock Lesnar defeated “The Lunatic Fringe” Dean Ambrose to regain the WWE Championship. Tonight on Monday Night RAW in Grand Rapids, “The Beast” and “The Lunatic Fringe” will face off in a WWE Championship Rematch in a huge RAW main event.
* During the Winter months of the WWE 2K17 season, it seemed as though The Shield would be back in full force. However, “The Architect” Seth Rollins would suddenly inform his Shield brethren that he would be rejoining The Authority and that it was nothing personal. This left Roman and Dean confused but not angry. In the following months, Seth would insist that he “knew what he was doing”. However, the longer time went, the more it seemed as though Seth had indeed pledged his allegiance to The Authority.
Enter WrestleMania. Seth Rollins would see his words through as he left The Authority to team up with Roman Reigns against The Authority forces of “The Game” Triple H and the Director of Operations, Kane. The Shield would come out victorious on the grandest stage of them all.
* Also at WrestleMania, the all-star team of The Rock, John Cena, Neville and “The Phenomenal” AJ Styles would take on The Wyatt Family. However, The Wyatts would use this opportunity to demonstrate just how dangerous they are as they imposed their will over the WWE all-star team and walk out of WrestleMania with the victory and a very loud statement made.
Tonight, with The Authority reeling from a big defeat at WrestleMania. The Superstars in the locker room don’t fear The Authority like they once did. In this power vaccum, The Wyatt Family look to immediately capitalize and take The Authority’s place as the force that runs Monday Night RAW. Their targets? Their seemingly biggest threat…the reason for The Authority’s disarray, “The Hounds of Justice”…The Shield.

Coming off a big championship defeat at WrestleMania 32, Dean Ambrose is strictly focused on the task at hand tonight. He talks about how he is contending with the entirety of The Wyatt Family as well as “The Beast Incarnate” Brock Lesnar. Some men crumble during adversity but Dean Ambrose marches right into the fire and tonight he hopes that “The Beast” will be ready for HIM.
Paul Heyman cuts a promo and says that tonight will simply be a formality. The former champion is always issued his rematch clause and now Brock Lesnar will simply honor that challenge and then re-commence the beatdown and victimization of Dean Ambrose to ultimately retain his WWE Championship like there was never any doubt.
